The Hot Shot Drop Earrings are light and easy to wear. They go through the same process as the other Hot Shot pieces, in that scrap sterling silver left over from other projects is remelted into small balls and then hammered into a steel shot plate with a heavy blacksmithing hammer. I source my shot plates (as well as my stamps) from 5th generation Navajo stamp-makers in New Mexico.

The ear hooks are handmade and I have hammered the round end a bit to give it a fluted detail, which is then wrapped in order to hold the tiny turquoise beads. These are wire wrapped onto the decorative silver pieces. The earrings are antiqued in liver of sulfur to give them an aged look. These are small, light, and can be work everyday.
