Named Heaven’s Tears for the rain drops that cover the dusty desert landscape under the pale moonlight, this delicate necklace is perfect for layering or everyday wear.

Using scraps from other projects, I hand melt and pour the sterling silver into an ingot. Next, I alternate between rolling the metal flat in my rolling mill, and then annealing the metal to make it workable again. This is an ongoing process until the desired size and thickness of metal is reached. I then saw the teardrop shape out of the sheet, and stamp it with the Navajo Crescent Moon stamp. I source my stamps from 5th generation Navajo stamp-makers from New Mexico. Next, I solder on the bail, antique the piece with liver of sulfur, and then polish it up. Lastly, I make my own headpin and wire wrap a small turquoise bead onto the jumpring along with the pendant.

The end result is a delicate, yet tough little pendant that can bring you luck wherever you travel.
