The Artemis Ring is another piece from the Delos Collection. Featuring an inky blue teardrop labradorite stone with an insane blue flash as well as the signature floating layers found throughout the collection.

Artemis was born on Delos, with her twin Apollo, the sun god. The twins were born to the god Zeus and the goddess Leto. Artemis is known as the goddess of the moon. She is also known as the goddess of the hunt, wild animals, wilderness, childbirth and virginity.

The Artemis Ring is handmade in wax and then cast in my home studio in San Diego, Ca. The inky blue labradorite cabochon sits on a layer of sterling silver that floats above the base layer which is supported by sterling silver balls. The top of the ring is one solid cast piece and then a thin, and slightly rounded edge band is soldered on. The small silver ball at the top of the ring is a reminder to focus and direct your intention to its desired goal.

Labradorite is said to represent the “temple of the stars” and helps to sustain, maintain, and help a person understand the destiny they have chosen. The energy of labradorite helps to transform intuition into intellectual thought so that it can be put into action. Labradorite stimulates mental acuity, reduces anxiety and stress, as well as can aid in digestion and metabolism.

The Delos Collection is a series of rings, pendants, and earrings based on the myth of the ancient “floating island” of Delos. It’s first mentioned in Greek mythology as the birthplace of twin gods Apollo (the sun god) and Artemis (the goddess of hunting, wild animals, and the wilderness). It was a sacred place to the Greeks.
